For a wetsuit, we find that your weight is usually the most important measurement to follow. Height is less critical as a wetsuit will still function well if the legs are a little too long or short. We also suggest going for the smaller size if you are tossing up between two sizes.. most women's returns come back because the wetsuit fitted 'Too large'.

Where have the back zips gone?

Have never owned one of these with a chest zip but I have 2 psycho one wetsuits with a back zip,

a 3/2 and a 4/3. Amazing wetsuits, warm, flexible and long lasting. Its time to replace my 3/2, I hate chest zips, cant believe you've stopped making these with a back zip. Crazy

Hi Waynr, the Psycho One has been upgraded / replaced by the Hyperfreak Fire wetsuit. The Hyperfreak Fire is more flexible, comfortable, similar warmth and more durable than the Psycho One. And, it comes in back zip as well as chest zip options.

Comfort with a Compromise

Very comfortable and flexible, but I have never had a wetsuit deteriorate so quickly and to such an extent.

Make no mistake I rinse and hang after every session like I always have done with my previous wetsuits that typically last me 3 years. This wetsuit however started failing after only 1 year.

Good compromise between stretch and warmth

The suit is not as stretchy as my Hyperfreak but definitely warmer than my Hyperfreak (pre-Hyperfreak fire). It will be and has been the perfect suit for the coldest winter days when the wind is cutting through the non-insulated, non-smooth skin Hyperfreak. This has been 25% - 30% of the time of the last 2 winter seasons here in this part of NSW. Longevity will be hard to see as the suit will only get used on the coldest of cold days and time will tell. So far happy with the suit thou.

try the wetsuit on first dont order online the sizing is incorrect

Great wetsuit if you are not 6'5 foot, terrible after sales service.

i tried the wetsuit on at home after buying online.

went for a surf in clean 3 to 4 foot everytime i duck dived i got flushing through the wrist collars, i live south VIC and its cold.

this defeats the whole point of a wetsuit if water comes in!

wrote to O'Neill and they said cool send it back if it does not fit.

a week later got a passive agressive email saying there is nothing wrong with the suit they measured and no faults.

obviously there were no faults the wetsuit quality was great but it didnt fit me homie?

its states pretty clear in their returns policy if the wetsuit does not fit send it back for full refund.

i am 6'5 106kgs i purchased 2XXL so i guess unless you have gorilla arms dont trust their sizing or returns policy.

oh BTW i purchased a 2XXL rip curl ebomb 4/3 and it fits perfect super flexiable and no water in through wrist or ankle cuffs?

whay cant O'Neill get there product right?

will not be buying any O'Neill product ever again.

Our returns policy clearly states returns for incorrect size are accepted, but its also clear that the wetsuit needs to still be in as new condition, similar to most other brands policies. Too small

I have three Psycho 1 3/2 back zip and they all fit great. When I tried on the 4/3 delivered from you I could hardly get the thing on . It was way too tight around the shoulders and neck. Could hardly zip it up. Had to have wife pull the shoulder down to get out. What happened to you sizing? And don't ask if I gained weight, I have actually lost a few kilo's.

Best wetsuit

Firstly - delivery was incredible. so fast. Wore the wetsuit for the first time last weekend (after exchanging for bigger size, all within a couple of days) and its the best wetsuit ive worn. flexible and warm. perfect.

I’ll let you know when I make it back into NZ! Have had a number of Psycho suits over the years. They’ve been comfortable, durable, warm and consistent size-wise. That’s why I always return to O’Neill.

It hasn’t arrived yet - 10 days

So far very poor. More than 10 days since ordering it still hasn’t arrived. A very odd description and n order having been processed. Based on this experience I wouldn’t order via o’neill
