Team Rider Soli Bailey has just taken out the 'RIDE OF THE YEAR' award, in the 2024 Surfer Magazine Big Wave Challenge. A fitting award for a proud indigenous young Aussie, who never leaves anything on the table.
Soli says "This journey has been a dream come true, and I am so incredibly lucky to get to chase these swells every day, and to create these opportunities. Grateful for everyone who's been a part of it!"
Well done Soli! After a setback of falling off the WSL tour a few years ago, Soli has truly reinvented his surfing career and is completely owning it. Around the global surfing community, he is known as "the most barrelled surfer on the planet", and has had the most incredible past year or two of scoring empty drainers around the world.
It’s one thing to turn up consistently to big swells, but stand out on these particular days, takes preparation, pure want, courage.. and lots of skill.
