Ahh, summer on the North Island... We recommend a lightweight steamer, or for the height of summer, you may want a Short Arm Steamer or a Long Arm Springsuit.

Our preferred lightweight Summer steamer is the Psycho One 3/2mm or the Hyperfreak 3/2, and if you want a solid suit at a lower price point, the Defender 3/2mm is also a great suit.

They Hyperfreak is the lightest and most comfortable suit on the market, the Psycho One has more warmth thanks tofully sealed seams and an internal lining to trap more heat in. The Defender also has an internal lining and is similar warmth to the Psycho One, but not as light and stretchy as either of the Hyperfreak or the Psycho.

For a Short Arm Steamer ora Long Arm Springsuit, you can’t beat the Hyperfreak series for complete freedom of movement. They are not our warmest suits, but they are a clear favourite among customers and team riders due to their comfort and performance.

The Defender series also has these spring suit variations covered, and while not as ridiculously light and flexible as the Hyperfreak (nothing ever has been) are great all-round performers. It’s a warmer series than the Hyperfreak, at a lower price.

It just depends on what’s most important to you - warmth / flexibility / price.
