"I don't surf to win contests." Not usually a quote you hear from the youngest World Champion in WSL history. Caity Simmers hadn't yet earned a World Title when she dropped that profound line, but it wouldn't be long before that changed. That's Caity Simmers. One who doesn't surf for the trophy, the glory, or the fandom but for the love of the sport and the opportunity to share that love with her family. The raw Oceanside 18-year-old who surfs when it's good, skates when it's not, and personally edits her surf movies. Congratulations Caity, this is only the beginning.
