YOUR WETSUIT FINDER RESULTS
Autumn in QLD, from March to June will still have warm water temps but air temps will be getting a little chilly. Reverse for Spring, with late September to November having cooler water with air temps getting warmer.
Here are our recommendations for the best wetsuits for surfing QLD during autumn or spring:
You can't beat the Hyperfreak series for complete freedom of movement. They are hands down the most comfortable suit you will ever surf in thanks to their TB3-X Neoprene. Check out the Hyperfreak Short Arm Steamer, the Hyperfreak Long Arm Springsuit and the Hyperfreak Short Arm Springsuit.
The Defender series also has these spring suit variations covered, and while not as ridiculously light and flexible as the Hyperfreak (nothing ever has been) still awesome all-round performers. It’s a warmer series than the Hyperfreak, at a lower price. The best options here are the Defender Short Arm Steamer, the Defender Long Arm Springsuit and the Defender Short Arm Springsuit.
The Reactor II seriesis the most affordable option, without as much stretch/comfort/warmth as the higher end suits, but a worthy suit for the less frequent surfer. For Reactor's check out the Reactor II Long Arm Springsuitand the Reactor II Short Arm Springsuit.
It just depends on what’s most important to you - warmth / flexibility / price.
Check out the WINTER or SUMMER recommendations for further suggestions if you are leaning towards colder or warmer conditions. Prefer a BACK ZIP?Most Psycho and Defender wetsuits come in both chest zip and back zip options, though to keep this brief, we only feature the chest zip versions on this page.
