Carbon Black is one of the key ingredients in neoprene. It can now be carbonized from scrap rubber tyres using high heat to extract.

We have used limestone since 1996 to replace petrochemicals in our neoprene. It comes from nature and has less environmental impact.

Solvent-free Lamination

We worked together with our key manufacturing partner to develope a non-solvent based lamination glue called "Aqua-Alpha" which bonds the suit's lining to the internal foam layer.

Dope Dyed Yarn

Dope Dyed Yarn

To save trememdous amounts of water whilst also reducing energy consumption and water polution, we use a dope dyeing process that infuses colour pigment into the fibre filaments before being spun into yarn.

Necks a bit tighter

Always go for this suit but I've noticed that the neck seems a lot tighter recently, particularly with the colour combo suits....has something changed there? Friends are saying the same thing.

Otherwise the best suit I've had for a few seasons now

Such a good wetsuit, as someone who is five foot and has been wearing kids wetsuits that don’t fit in the right places, this is game changing and the size 4 fits perfectly! Super stretchy when paddling but doesn’t loose its tight fit and unbelievably warm . Worth every dollar.

Flexible and great fit for a short gal

I’ve struggled to find wetsuits that are short enough in the torso for many years but I’ve finally found my fit! The hyperfreak is really comfortable, doesn’t give that torso sag if you’ve got a short torso, and super flexible - more than I expected out of a 4/3

Wow Wow Wow!!!

I am so thrilled with my hyperfreak! It is so comfortable and easy to get on and off, it is my first chest zip so pretty impressed with how it goes on and comes off without a struggle. The softness is amazing on the skin, allows free movement where needed and more importantly does not hamper my paddle… I need all the help I can get with my paddle power! Haha! I am super stoked and would absolutely encourage anyone to jump into a hyperfreak this winter… amazing product from the legends at O’Neill… love your work dudes!
